This one's in pretty rough shape, but the excellence still shines through. Released in '66 on Huey Meaux's Tribe label.

This is one of my favourite tracks (ever)when Cold Blood did it on thier first album, never knew it was a cover version !
So it's great to hear the original version, thanks for posting this gem
Still think Cold Bloods version is much better, but that's not the point
Take care

I actually didn't realize that Cold Blood did a cover of this song, but I'll definitely keep an eye out for it. Thanks for stopping by...

So what do you think ?
Cold Blood or Barbara Lynn ?
Both are great, but Cold Blood wins my vote

Just wanted to tell you I tracked down Barbara Lynn's Blues And Soul Situation album because of this post, and I have to say it's a fantastic album from start to finish, I would never have heard this classic if not for you, so a massive thank you
This is what pisses me off when people say downloading from blogs is killing music sales, I would say 70% of music I buy on CD or Vinyl is because I downloaded something first off the net and found it to be worthwhile to spend what little money I have on the real thing
So again thank you my friend, keep up the good work

Thanks for the kind words. That is very gratifying to hear! It's nice to know that I am not just shouting in the darkness with this stuff. It makes me feel great to think that someone besides myself is getting something out of this blog...

The blog is great. It fills a void. And the selections of esoteric 45s is exactly waht I am looking for in a blog.

Keep it up. I found the blog looking for Info in the Dig this Record label.

He said 'Void', and you 'filled' it. Seriously though, this blog does fill a void. Great post!
