B. E. said...: The flip-side of this is incredible. Like Lee Perry gone berserk doing some extreme scratching. This single was on the jukebox in my college pub ('74). My friends and I would play it over and over and drive out the other patrons. Finally the school removed the single and we mounted a faux-protest, comparing the removal of Shaft Meets Superfly Part 2 to the negative reception given to Stravinsky's Rite of Spring. Our letter to the school newspaper was printed with the title "Le Sacre du Shaft??"; Friday, February 12, 2010
