Teenage primitivism at it's best. These guys can barely play their instruments, but still manage to get it so right. Better than Led Zeppelin.

Misery

Rockin' Sid
Misery
Avenue Records

Found this little baby in a junk shop in Baton Rouge for fifty cents! Signed!

Originally released in 1957 credited to Thunderwords, this record was re-released in 1963 with the label credit you see here. Not to be confused with Rockin' Sidney.
Nice Louisiana rockabilly sounds. This record demonstrates the correct way to play an electric guitar.

Bigfoot

Don Jones
Bigfoot
Panarama - 1016
70's

MP3 File
Here is a DJ promo copy of the song Bigfoot by Don Jones. If you look closely at the label you'll see that the scream you hear on the record is the "real scream of the true Bigfoot (Sasquatch.)" Good to know. This optimistic single was sent out to promote Don's Lp of Bigfoot songs titled simply "Bigfoot."

Susie Crew

The Crew-Cuts
Susie-Q

You're probably already familiar with the 1968 Creedance Clearwater cover of Susie-Q. You may even be familiar with Dale Hawkins' superior original. This version by the Crew-Cuts however, really caught me by surprise.
