A Bevy of Break-ins
Break-In records go all the way back to 1955 with Buchanan and Goodman's "Flying Saucer" on the Luniverse label. The basic concept is a contrived interview with snippets of popular songs of the day as responses. They're usually pretty corny but are a pretty good snapshot of the time, as a lot of these were made over the years with different "topical" themes. The next few posts will be some of the more interesting ones that I have found recently. This one is on Leiber & Stoller's Red Bird label and references the Batman TV Series...
