Thanks Ana! This one has really gotten under my skin lately. I woke up this morning to the sad news that Wardell just passed away. Incredible musical output. He will be missed!
Fixed! Sorry about that. My file hosting service has changed dramatically since the last time I posted something. No longer giving me an automatic mp3 link, but I managed to frankenstien it.
September 12, 2011 -- NEW ORLEANS (AP) - Wardell Quezergue (kuh-ZEHR), the composer and teacher known as the "Creole Beethoven," has died. He was 81. He died Tuesday. Songwriter and pianist Allen Toussaint (too-SAHN') gave Quezergue his nickname. He describes Quezergue as a superb musician and band leader who raised the bar in rhythm and blues and rock 'n' roll, and who always inspired people to their best performances.
This is simply a blog where I post interesting 45s that I come across. I'm not an expert on records or music history and I'm fairly lazy, so don't expect a lot of exhaustive background or research. Comments are highly encouaged...
Most of the music files presented here come from my personal 45 collection and are posted for purposes of musical enlightenment only. These are mostly obscure songs, over 40 years old, that may not have been reissued on CD. The intention is to raise awareness of underappreciated artists/songs. If you like what you hear, seek these artists out on CD or get out there and find some of this old vinyl for yourself... If you are the copyright holder and wish any files to be removed, I will do so immediately upon request.

Hey man. I'm loving this tune but there's no link to download the mp3 file. Love the blog, keep doing what you're doing, it's awesome.
Huh! There sure enough isn't. Let me look into that, I'll try to get one up.
