This is a fun rockabilly tune from '59. A song about the dangers of exposing your girlfriend to Duane Eddy. Ritchie gets right to the point on the this one with a 1:50 running time...

Hello...well I'm not into this "kinda" music but I sure had a great time over here... Love the cool r&b from Esquerita, the even cooler instrumental from Fritz & Jerry, the fat '69 story from Andre Williams (seen his performance on Dour Festival a decade ago and it was awesome), the funny soul from Gary (U.S.) Bond, the honest rockabilly from Ritchie Hart, the incredible Eddie And The Rays (love that voice and a mighty fine guitarsound), laughed almost five minutes with the impotent Soul Je t'aime.., the great bluesy soul from Bobby Powell, the great funky beat from Eddie Bo with Chuck Carbo, hated the Italian vocals on Jimmy Fontana but loved the guitar,....well I surely will check out Esquerita. And it's a shame Fritz & Jerry only seem to have recorded one 45...love that tune...listenend to it six times already...and it made me listen to some Link Wray tunes again...congratualation with your blog and I'll be back... el postino loco
Thanks for the positive feedback! I can see that the blog is getting a lot of hits, but it's nice to get some comments so I can know what people think of it. Glad you enjoyed yourself... and come back often.
This is simply a blog where I post interesting 45s that I come across. I'm not an expert on records or music history and I'm fairly lazy, so don't expect a lot of exhaustive background or research. Comments are highly encouaged...
Most of the music files presented here come from my personal 45 collection and are posted for purposes of musical enlightenment only. These are mostly obscure songs, over 40 years old, that may not have been reissued on CD. The intention is to raise awareness of underappreciated artists/songs. If you like what you hear, seek these artists out on CD or get out there and find some of this old vinyl for yourself... If you are the copyright holder and wish any files to be removed, I will do so immediately upon request.
