it so cool to know that when you score a cool 45 like this and you are all satisfied with your score it is cool to know that there are many copies stashed about in others fine collections. and i would suspect many more to be unearthed.... cheers! dd
Gerry Granahan put out songs under his own name, along with tracks as by the Fireflies and also Dickey Doo and The Dont's. This track is on a comp called "The Complete Dickey Doo & The Dont's", and also on another, "The Gerry Granahan Scrapbook".
I blogged this thing back before we were posting sound files at It's Great Shakes. Glad to see it posted here. What I really like is how the sound engineer clearly turns down the volume during the guitar break.
This is simply a blog where I post interesting 45s that I come across. I'm not an expert on records or music history and I'm fairly lazy, so don't expect a lot of exhaustive background or research. Comments are highly encouaged...
Most of the music files presented here come from my personal 45 collection and are posted for purposes of musical enlightenment only. These are mostly obscure songs, over 40 years old, that may not have been reissued on CD. The intention is to raise awareness of underappreciated artists/songs. If you like what you hear, seek these artists out on CD or get out there and find some of this old vinyl for yourself... If you are the copyright holder and wish any files to be removed, I will do so immediately upon request.

Now this is the kind of old school, mad-dog rock and roll that I love! This song had me bouncing at my desk at work!
Yes! Great tune. Glad you liked it David!

Absolutely fantastic track! Very meaty, very beaty - just how I like 'em, too!
