Let's Hear It For Charline Arthur!
Charline Arthur
The Good and the Bad
RCA Victor - 5807
1954?
MP3 File
Whenever I find a Charline Arthur disc, I always pick it up. She performed regularly on local Dallas radio program The Big D Jamboree and recorded a number of great sides for RCA, as well as a few smaller labels. It really is a shame that she isn't more well known, she has such a unique voice. Just listen to that growl...

Love, love, love Charline as well who kinda got rolling out this direction before heading back east and inking up with RCA.
I too grab every disc I see by her... just need the Bullet and Coin sides I believe.
"What About Tomorrow" is probably my favorite side...
why such a low bit rate? huh, thanks for this one all the same.
Thanks Westex!
Um... because I wasn't paying attention and clicked when I should have clacked? Fixed now, thanks...
Wow, this girl is great. I hadn't heard of her until now but I will grab everything I can find by her from now on. Thanks for posting her. Keep up the great postings.
That's what this blog is all about. Thanks 1VCG!
