Proby since 1977. I first heard him singing the song "Somewhere" on an old 45 record. I finally got to met him in 2004 when he toured the East Coast of Australia, he was 65 then and he put on an Absolutley Brilliant Performance. Last November he celebrated his 70th Birthday. Proby still does concert tours in the UK among other other places and I'm sure he'd really love to do some touring in the US as well.He definatley did do some of the movie demo's for Elvis Presley. You can even listen to him singing the demo for "Fun In Accupulco" on YouTube. Check out his website if you'd like to make a booking for P.J. Proby go to the Official Site of the Legendary P.J. He was quite a sensation in the UK with a stage act that included an onstage pants splitting routine. Proby's sister dated Elvis for a short while and he claims to have cut many demos for Elvis which Elvis copied note for note. For more on PJ's wildman days check out the Kim Fowley interview in Ugly Things magazine #19. BTW did you notice how much Go Girl Go sounds like the Cramps Weekend On Mars?Anonymousnoreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-6693732402097428591.post-91233097946197100892008-07-24T01:43:00.000-05:002008-07-24T01:43:00.000-05:00Thanks Todd.
